    When I confessed to friend (also a Doc Savage fan) that I actually enjoyed these latest Wild Adventures more then even the original Lester Dent books, he correctly pointed out that my enjoyment was probably due to the added length of these adventures. You get to spend longer fully immersed in the story. The classic stories often seem much too brief.
