Kristyn Decker, the daughter of a polygamist prophet, reveals a rare, uncensored, firsthand account of the inner workings of a Utah-based polygamist sect whose members today include high-profile reality television stars. Her gripping narrative describes the rampant anguish and abuse behind the happy faces that polygamist women present in public. Fifty Years in Polygamy is Kristyn's inspiring journey, detailing the common misconceptions that exist surrounding polygamy; that polygamy is simply a harmless lifestyle of choice. "For many, it is more like modern-day slavery," Decker reveals.

"Kristyn Decker shares the heartache, pain, and deprivation of polygamy with wisdom, compassion, and understanding for those who remain imprisoned by religious coercion. This book is a must read. Human rights cannot be preserved without understanding the methods by which those rights are lost."Author of Plygs - Ed Kociela
"Kristyn Decker is a courageous woman. Her stores are chilling and sometimes difficult to read, but important as she strives to educate a public that has no clue about the dangers inherent in this lifestyle."
