George Unwin (1870–1925) was a pioneering British economic historian. He was a professor in the field at the University of Manchester and authored, co-authored, and edited several books, including Industrial Organization in the Sixteenth and Seventeenth Centuries (1904), Gilds and Companies of London (1908), and Samuel Oldknow and the Arkwrights (1924).
