It's midnight in Granite Cove and only the sea clams are open. Murder rocks the sleepy fishing village.
Rose McNichols, reporter for the Granite Cove Gazette, moonlights as a stand-up comic at Shady Nook Retirement Home. There she meets Mabel Smithwick, former Boston socialite. The elderly woman claims she witnessed a drowning at her Hemlock Point pool last summer. However, Mabel is partial to gin and tonic and is not a credible witness. But when she turns up dead, Rose wishes she'd paid more attention. Before long, Rose herself is a target . . .

Laugh 'til You Die: A Granite Cove Mystery by Sharon Love Cook is the cutest book ever! I loved all the characters, they seemed so real. All have flaws like people you know in your own life. Rose is hilarious as the heroine, a journalist by day and budding stand up comic by night. The residents of the Shady Nook Nursing Home are hysterical and I pictured my own mother livingDebra Denithorne
Sharon Love Cook has done it again but even better! Don't let this third book in the Granite Cove series pass you by. It's absolutely intoxicatingly charming but written with the perfection of style we've come to know from Ms. Love Cook. The story will keep you reading page after page non-stop. I hope she continues with the Granite Cove series, but if not, whatever comes next will be better than ever.Bonnie Hannable
Laugh 'til You Die is a very enjoyable, fun read. Sharon Cook keeps us guessing right up until the end, as a good mystery should, and does so in her characteristically warm and humorous way. Also liked the local North Shore flavor of the bookKatie Smith
I love to read a book with smart and well developed characters. Rose McNichol is the leading lady here who is a reporter but wants to become a comedian. Withouth expectations she finds herself in the middle of an investigation of a murder in the retirement home where she has a gig. This can be characterized as a steady book, a mystery story with lots of healthy humor and well-developed and relatable characters. Definitely it is worth your time. The author surely knows the craft.Suzanne Young
Sharon Love Cook's best work so far. She's really hit her stride on this one. Well written, good plot and my kind of humor throughout. Recommended for all cozy fans!
