Edgar Watson Howe (1853–1937) was an American novelist and newspaper and magazine editor. His magazine, E. W. Howe’s Monthly, made him famous. He went on to buy and found several newspapers. He is the author of realistic regional and romantic novels such as The Moonlight Boy and The Story of a Country Town.
