Rafael Sabatini (1875-1950) was a noted British/Italian author of romance and adventure novels. Born in Italy to an Italian father and English mother, Sabatini moved to England at age 17 and began a career as a writer. His career spanned more than half a century, during which time he produced a number of well-received works including SCARAMOUCHE, CAPTAIN BLOOD, and THE SEA HAWK.
