Charlotte Bronte (1816-1855) was an English author who wrote the famous classics Jane Eyre, Shirley, Villette and The Professor. She was raised with her two sisters Anne (author of Agnes Grey and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall) and Emily (author of Wuthering Heights) Bronte and was mostly educated at home studying art and music. Although she was sent to school Charlotte and her sisters had a passion for reading and writing and their father had an extensive collection of English literature at home.
