Following a four star review of Once Upon a Dead Gull (co-authored by Joe Hill) one of Amazon's top 500 reviewers had this to say, "As Janna/Joe Hill notes in her final chapter, "Could you...would you dare to know me?" The vignettes in this collection all concern themselves with that border between life and death. This is the liminal state where souls confuse their place on that line. These are small stories , but strike that eerie part of our lives. Would you know yourself?"Amelia Gremelspacher

Five stars for The Perpetual Series: I stumbled across Janna Hill while searching for Joe Hill, and thank God for that. After enjoying Door number IIII, a beautiful but strange short, I loved these two stories. Darkness is intriguing at first, questioning his motives before twisting everything around. Spring adds to the story, bringing things full circle.Amazon - David Farmer

AC review of Short Stories & Such.In twenty-five thousand (combined) words Hill manages to deliver a potent reading experience. There are approximately nine short stories along with four poetic compositions, each one being artistically plaited with graphic imagery and suspense. (Jarvis Sydney Chronicle )

4 stars Door Number: This story has the unusual storyline of a very boring man who falls in love with a door! I know it sounds almost silly, but from this odd beginning, the author presents a story that is interesting and ultimately believable. It is really as a young boy that he first encounters and is seduced by Door Number Four. He is intrigued to find out what is behind the mysterious and beautiful door, but is sternly turned away...This was a quirky and peculiar tale that was very well
