Since Jordan's website (www.southernplate.com) launched in 2008, it has had more than 43 million visitors. Readers are quickly falling in love with her simple recipes, which beginning cooks can quickly master. Baked Ham, one of the easiest recipes, has only two ingredients, ham and syrup. Cooks who specialize in Southern food will find plenty of familiar recipes, e.g., Boiled Peanuts (also a two-ingredient dish), Hoe Cake, Aunt Looney's Macaroni Salad, Old-Fashioned Bread Pudding, and Chocolate Velvet Cake (there's also Tookie's Green Velvet Cake). Highly recommended.
