Amy Wall graduated from Harvey Mudd College of Science and Engineering with a B.S. in Chemistry, a second major in Economics, and a minor in English Literature. She also has a Masters of Business Administration degree. Her lifelong interest in spirituality led her to the Western Mystery Tradition, Judaism, mystic Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, and a certificate in transpersonal psychology. After experiencing an awakening with a Zen Buddhist master, she began to seek a deeper understanding of how the Western Mystery Tradition can lead to higher levels of spiritual awareness. This book is a result of that search.

THIS BOOK WON THE 2011 ARIZONA BOOK PUBLISHERS AWARD FOR RELIGION AND SPIRITUALITY. The Tarot of Awakening explores the use of the Rider-Waite Tarot cards as a map of the journey to higher consciousness. With a deft and scholarly hand, the author addresses the practical realities of the spiritual journey: its emotional subtleties, triumphs, pitfalls and paradoxes. In a wholly new and ground-breaking approach, the four suits of the Minor Arcana are interpreted as the spiritual paths of Service (pentacles), Devotion (cups), Knowledge (swords) and Mysticism (wands); the Court Cards are aspects of our own personalities that help and hinder us on our journey. Meditations on the Major Arcana are provided to lead readers into a deeper awareness of their own being. This book offers clear, unique and insightful guidance for spiritual aspirants.
