Scott was born in Portsmouth, Ohio and is a full-time visual arts instructor. Prior to becoming a teacher and part time writer, he lived in New York and formed a rock band before becoming a professional photographer. In the mid-Eighties he caught the writing bug and wrote his first novel. He has written nine novels to date including his most recent, The May Day Murders Sequel. Other titles include the Alan Swansea Mystery Series (Double Trouble, The Barcode Murders, and The Collector,) Greshmere, See Tom Run, The May Day Murders, Katherine's Prophecy and The Edge. Scott has also written a non fiction photography book entitled The Story Behind The Images and is host of the popular photography podcast, Photography 101. Scott lives in Worthington, Ohio with his wife, Marilyn.
