    Chapter One

    3 JANUARY

    When I Grow Up

Parker wants to be a doctor when he grows up. Do you what you want to be? You might like to be an artist, a nurse, an astronaut, or maybe a police officer, God has good plans for you. He knows what you will enjoy doing someday. And he will help you be good at doing it. If you pray to God and learn what he says in the Bible, he will help you know what he wants you to be.

    My Bible Verse:

Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths. Proverbs 3:6, NLT

    My Prayer:

Show me, God, so I can see Exactly what you want me to be.

    A Special Place

Kaitlyn made her very own house where she can work and play. It's fun to have a special place that's just for you. Did you know that God is making a special place for you in heaven? He has given you a special place to live on earth right now. You will probably live here for a long time. But someday you will live in a VERY special place in heaven that God made just for you. And you will live there for a VERY long time-forever and ever!

    My Bible Verse:

There are many rooms in my Father's house.... I am going there to prepare a place for you John 14:2, ICB

My Prayer: Someday, Lord I will see your face And live in a very special place!

    5 JANUARY

    Angels Everywhere

Did you ever make angels in the snow? The Bible tells us there are real angels who live with God in heaven. But did you know that there are angels who live with us right here on earth? Even though we can't see them, God's angels are all around us every day. God tells them to take care of us and keep us safe wherever we go.

    My Bible Verse:

The Lord will command his angels to take good care of you. Psalm 91:11, NIRV

    My Prayer:

Thank you for angels everywhere Who always keep me in their care.

    Animals Big and Small

Do you have a pet in your house? Maybe you have a dog or a cat or a fish. Pets need water and food just like we do. Do you give your pet food and water? If you don't have a pet. maybe you can feed the birds or bunnies in your yard. God created lots of animals for us to enjoy. God is happy when we take care of the animals he made.

    My Bible Verse:

All the animals of the forest are mine Psalm 50:10, NLT

    My Prayer:

Thank you for animals big and small. Dear God, I know you made them all.
