Curry, frequent Food Network guest star and wife of NBA superstar Stephen Curry, offers a collection of her favorite recipes that include her own creations along with dishes inspired by family recipes and favorite restaurants. Recipes are arranged by meal: breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and sweets. Breakfast and lunch ideas are fairly simple, and while dinner recipes begin to get a little more involved, none are overly complicated. The importance of family is a theme throughout, and Curry includes a chapter on cooking with children. Featured are a wide variety of meals, from traditional staples such as meatloaf to specialties such as Jamaican escovitch fish. The author's Jamaican heritage influences a few meals that subtly incorporate Caribbean flavors. Although most recipes tend to focus on wholesome, healthy ingredients, Curry doesn't shy away from decadent treats, such as her signature deep-fried Oreos. VERDICT A wide range of tempting recipes that are simple enough for even novice cooks.—Melissa Stoeger, Deerfield P.L., IL
