My name is Emlyn, and I emerged from the womb with a fountain pen clutched in my left hand–and that’s totally a true story. Reading Harold and the Purple Crayon as a child changed my life, opening my eyes to the world that could exist if only I was willing to create it. I’ve never forgotten that lesson. In fact, I wrote and illustrated my first kid’s books at the age of 8, as a gift to my younger brothers, which means I have almost 20 years of experience as an author (thank you very much).When I’m not writing, I run a large book club in Ann Arbor and am the president of author PR firm Novel Publicity.I’ll be starting out with the Evolved Publishing team with 3 picture books for children 4-6 years old: HONEY THE HERO (about an intrepid parakeet), POPPY THE PROUD (starring a peacock, of course), and DAVEY THE DETECTIVE (featuring a curious crow).
