Callie Randolph, an eldercare nurse, responds to an ad requesting a live-in nurse for a five-year-old girl with special needs, hoping that it will be the change she is looking for. But when she meets the cold David Hamilton, Natties's Father, she's not so sure. David warms up when she elicits a response from Nattie, however, and as Callie learns about the death of Natties's mother, Nattie's subsequent withdrawal, and David's heartache, she yearns to join this broken heart and praise the Lord again. Martin's (Come See the Wonder) romance, with its slight twist on the traditional patient/nurse plot, provides realistic background as Callie also struggles to tell the truth about her tarnished life. Series fans will enjoy this.
