"Nathan Aldyne" is the pseudonym of Michael McDowell and Dennis Schuetz; together the two wrote four mystery novels in the gay-themed Valentine & Lovelace series. Michael McDowell was a novelist and screenwriter who worked across a variety of genres, including horror and mystery; he is perhaps best known as the screenwriter for the film "Beetlejuice" and is also the author of the "Jack & Susan" mystery trilogy.
