The author, Joe Campbell, is an experienced world traveler and fine arts photographer whose passions extend from capturing the fleeting light of our own sun as its final rays grace a mountain top in a far off land to the night sky overhead.
When not spending time chasing the ultimate terrestrial shot or collecting photons late at night when the rest of the neighborhood is fast asleep, he can be found in his workshop; building that next new-new thing to improve his craft, or in front of the keyboard, clicking away as he writes about it.
To this end, several of his projects have been noted “how-to stories” in national astronomical publications.  Additionally, he has also penned several project books involving astronomy as well as terrestrial travel photography to assist the do-it yourselfer photographer to get more from their gear as well as the experience.
