KRISTEN DABROWSKI is an actress, writer, acting teacher, and director residing in New York City. She has performed all across the United States and United Kingdom. Gr 2-6 Dabrowski offers short, accessible selections on common topics such as games, families, food, friends, school, and wishes. The true-to-life experiences and emotions are delivered in a child's voice and run the gamut from funny to serious. In "Mary Jane," a girl speaking to a nun realizes too late that she has said too much; in "Hannah," a youngster tells her parents why she hates broccoli; and Emmett sounds off about his bossy older sister. The book has several classroom applications, including public speaking, memorization, journal writing, and storytelling.
