It's time to go to bed and Peter Rabbit is tired, but where will he sleep? This beautiful book leads children through all the places where Peter Rabbit may like to sleep and introduces a host of favorite characters. Turn to the final spread and discover where Peter's favorite place to sleep is. Includes three small night-lights in the front cover that are timed to go off after six minutes.

    Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
This large, oversized book with very sturdy pages, is supposed to also serve as a night light. Pushing the button makes the cover light up the moon and stars. The abbreviated tale of Peter and his escapades in Mr. McGregor's garden segues into a discussion of where Peter will sleep. Will it be a soft nest of feathers like that of Jemima Puddle-Duck, a pea pod like Timmy Willie, or a cradle like Hunca Munca's baby mice? After looking at several more possibilities, it seems that Peter is going to sleep in his very own bed. Interestingly, the book cautions that due to small parts it is not appropriate to those under three, but that is really the ones who would have an interest in the story and nightlight. This is not exactly and ideal selection, since it is neither an effective nightlight nor a particularly interesting story.
