Nighty-night, Baby! The cheekily charming tot goes through a typical nightly routine in a humorous bedtime book.
Dinner is finished, the sun is setting, and Baby is getting ready for bed, sneaking in a naked dance before bath time. Then it’s on to tooth cleaning, hair brushing, bear hugging, and getting cozy in PJs. Finally it’s time for a bedtime story (“Again! Again!”) and a song with Mommy before Daddy turns out the light. Kissy kissy!

A highly recommended addition to all board book collections and a worthy companion to the other entries in the series.—School Library Journal
Another solid outing for Patricelli's tot.

Get ready for bed and cuddle up with baby, Mom, and Dad in this simple and adorable board book. Follow along with baby as a messy spaghetti dinner is followed by a sunset and welcoming the moon. Next up his diaper comes off and he does a naked dance. Baby is joined by his dog in the tub for bath time. With one tooth and one strand of hair to brush, the baby is very thorough with his washing. A kiss for Dad and a hug for bear are important to Baby right before his mom helps him to put his PJs on. A book, a song, more kisses, and then lights-out make up Baby’s bedtime routine. Other parts of his routine include yawns, slippers, dreams, a stuffie, pillows, a night light, a blankie, and a snore. Simple text accompanied by soft and detailed cartoon-like illustrations of his nighttime routine make this board book essential for every nursery. 12/01/2016Baby-Toddler—Patricelli's irrepressible baby is back for another wonderful board book installment. This title features the usual humorous tone mingled with the comforting routines of bedtime. After dinner, the baby bids farewell to the sun and says hello to the moon, before "Bye-bye pants. Naked dance!" The precious narrative speaks directly to the intended audience in language they are sure to respond to: "Brushy toothy. Brushy hair. Kissy Daddy. Huggy bear." In another context, this technique could be cloying, but the simplicity of the words, combined with the spare, appealing illustrations, makes for a harmonious read. After pajamas, a story, a song, and a final hug and kiss from both parents, the baby goes "nighty-night." VERDICT A highly recommended addition to all board book collections and a worthy companion to the other entries in the series.—Kristy Pasquariello, Wellesley Free Library, MA
