Now it's up to Percy Jackson and an army of young demigods to stop the Lord of Time.
In this momentous final book in the New York Times best-selling Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, the long-awaited prophecy surrounding Percy's sixteenth birthday unfolds. The thrilling conclusion to the "Percy Jackson and The Olympians" series is everything a reader could hope for. Kronos has almost completely taken over Luke's body, and it is up to Percy, Annabeth, and Grover to stop him before he can destroy Olympus and Western Civilization. While the gods are caught up in their own battles with ancient Titan monsters, the residents of Camp Half Blood defend New York City as best they can and attempt to remind the gods that it is their existence that is at stake. Riordan spins fascinating tales, weaving western mythology seamlessly into history and present times. The heroes are not perfect, as Greek Heroes never were, but they do what needs to be done, serving the gods, and saving civilization even when humanity does not realize it is in danger. There are pleasant twists within each book of the series, and The Last Olympian is no different. Loose ends are tied up throughout the story and the book is a very appropriate conclusion to the series. Reviewer: Danielle Williams
