Mayim Hoya Bialik, Ph.D, CLEC is best known for her lead role in the 1990s NBC sitcom Blossom, as well as for her portrayal of the young Bette Midler in Beaches. She is currently a co-star on CBS' The Big Bang Theory. Bialik received a Ph.D. in Neuroscience in 2007 from UCLA, specializing in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder in adolescents with Prader-Willi syndrome. She is the celebrity spokesperson for the Holistic Moms Network. She is the co-founder and chair of youth branch of the Jewish Free Loan Association, and is devoted to a lifestyle of attachment parenting, homeschooling, vegan cooking, and Jewish text study. She lives in Los Angeles with her family.
Jay Gordon, MD, FAAP, IBCLC is a pediatrician and teaching and attending faculty member at UCLA’s Medical School. Dr. Gordon did his Senior Fellowship in Pediatric Nutrition at Sloan-Kettering Institute in New York City. In addition to treating patients in his busy practice in Santa Monica, he participates in the training of medical students and residents, lectures all over the world, writes books, and writes a monthly column for Fit Pregnancy magazine. He has contributed to New York Parent, Parenting magazine, and has been quoted in the LA Times, New York Times, and the London Times. Dr. Gordon served as CBS TV’s Medical Consultant for Children’s programming. He lives in Southern California.
